Bus Status Gets a New App
Bus Status has a new App, just in time for the new school year! Ensure you download the new App from the App Store or Google Play Store and select your preferences before September 29 to continue to receive notifications.
The new App has improved speed and reliability. It will look and function the same as the current Bus Status app.
The Bus Status app currently installed on your phone will not update automatically to the new version of the app. You must go to the App Store or Google Play to download the new app to receive notifications after September 29.

Creating a Notice is a great way to catch parents' attention when they visit your district or school website. You could even link to a news post on your website to provide parents with more information and links to both the App Store and Google Play Store download the app:

Bus Status has a new app for the upcoming school year. You can download Bus Status 4 from the Google Play and the App Stores. The current app, Bus Status 3, will be retired on September 29. Please download the new app once to continue to receive the best service for Bus Status.
Another great way to alert your community about Bus Status 4 is to create a Special Notice. Use the "Edit Multiple" feature to create the Special Notice and send it to all of your buses. Here's what you could share:

When students are in school, you could include a handout for them to take home to their families or ask bus drivers to hand them out on their routes. We've got two different versions you can download and print. Both versions include QR codes for the new App.

For Instagram and Twitter/X, we recommend creating a page on your website with links to both apps. Include a link to that page with your Twitter/X Post and add it to your instagram bio to direct your followers.

Weekly Notice Reminders from Rally
Rally will assist Bus Status 4 communications by sending Notices to Bus Status 3 users weekly for three weeks before Bus Status 3 is retired. Bus Status 3 users will see a Notice reminding them to download the new app to continue to receive notifications after September 29. A new Notice will be sent on September 14, 21, and 28.

"Bus Status is getting a new app this summer! The Bus Status 4 will be available on Google Play and the App Store in August. Please download the new app and choose your preferences. The new app will be faster and more reliable, while keeping the same functionality. Bus Status will still be free to download."
